WashU offers several options for students, faculty, and staff who are interested in carpooling or vanpooling to campus.
WashU Rides Program
Connect with carpool partners, find “bikepool” matches, and explore transportation options on an interactive map with WashU Rides.
Track your savings in costs, CO2 emissions, and calories burned, or use the platform to plan trips, post-event carpools, and log your daily travel—all while contributing to a healthier, greener campus.
Bearly Drivers Carpooling
Available for full-time, benefit-eligible WashU staff members (2-4) with similar work schedules and shared commutes only.
Get a Bearly Drivers permit and park in any yellow open space without signs in Zones 1 through 4 on the Danforth campus. Receive free enrollment in the Guaranteed Ride Home program that provides up to four rides home per year in the case of an emergency.
Vanpooling with Ride Finders
RideFinders’ vanpool program provides a vehicle, maintenance, insurance, and gas for any group of five or more individuals who want to commute together.
Available to all residents of the greater St. Louis area (9 counties across Illinois and Missouri), this program aims to reduce emissions and improve regional air quality while providing an affordable, convenient way for people to commute.
