Whether you’re shipping items ahead of time or picking up packages once you arrive, learn how and where to get your items on Move-In Day.

Before Move-In

When shipping items to campus, make sure to address them properly. DO NOT include your residence hall name.

Use your Mail Stop Code (MSC) to route your package to the correct location. Your MSC is your campus “apartment number.” You can find your MSC number and mailing address in Student Workday, which is linked to your housing assignment.

Move-In Day

On move-in day, take extra time to prepare before heading to the Hitzeman Mail Center to pick up packages you have sent to campus. Be sure to have the following with you:

  • Your WashU ID
  • Tracking number
  • Your Unique Pick-Up Code (if applicable)
    • Codes are only needed for pick-up in PackCity Lockers. Find this code in an email from noreply@sqbxmail.com; be sure to check your spam folder.
Only the individual whose name is on each package can retrieve it. Packages will not be distributed to parents, friends, or roommates.

We have carts available for 30-minute checkout windows to assist you with transferring large packages to your residence hall.

Please note that packages are held for a period of 90 days. After this period, any unclaimed packages will be handled in accordance with the Unclaimed Items and Perishable Policy.
